Full-time Research Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator (Master’s in Computer Science) at the Faculty of Informatics Mazatlán, Autonomous University of Sinaloa.

Bio

B.Sc. in Computer Systems Engineering and M.Sc. in Applied Informatics (Honors) from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, Mexico. Ph.D. in Computer Applications (Cum Laude) from the University of Alicante, Spain. Since 2013, he holds the PRODEP Recognized Research Profile (Ministry of Education) and is a Level 1 member of the National System of Researchers (National Ministry for Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation). From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a programmer at DP-Soft. Between 2007 and 2009, he served as a software developer (Systems/Programming Department) in the Quality Assurance area at Coppel, and also worked as an independent developer. In 2012, he received the Best Software Demonstration Award at the 12th International Conference on Web Engineering (ICWE), and in 2014, he received the Best Paper Award at the IEEE 6th International Conference on Adaptive Science and Technology (ICAST 2014). He has delivered talks in Mexico, Spain, Panama, and El Salvador. He has served as an evaluator for the PRODEP profile and for national calls (National Graduate System, postdoctoral fellowships, and innovation incentives). Currently, he is a full-time Research Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator (Computer Science) at the Faculty of Informatics Mazatlán, and a member of the Academic Board of the Graduate Program in Information Systems at the Faculty of Informatics Culiacán, both at the Autonomous University of Sinaloa. He enjoys technology, writing (ANOVA LAB MX blog), web/mobile development, basketball, and motorcycle travel.

I have reviewed more than 66 innovation projects for multiple sponsors (PEI-CONACYT, FINNOVA-CONACYT, FOMIX, among others).
